Every installation that Twister constructs is uniquely constructed for the application; however there are some features that will never change.

Extra Protection for Grain Systems

All of the grain system structural components are coated with powder paint in our onsite powder paint line. The components are then baked in a 400 degree oven; creating a finish that will stand up to weather conditions and looks wonderful for years to come. In some cases, components are hot dipped galvanized for extreme weather situations in order to provide the best possible protection.

Twister uses only the highest quality of steel to create the grain bin walls and that is why, in 2002 Galfan steel was introduced. Galfan is specially-formulated steel that has many advantages over the commonly used G90 steel, with the notable advantage of corrosion resistance. Galfan is twice as resistant to corrosion and rusting as other types of steel, which means that you will have a commercial hopper bin that will safely store your grain or crop.

Extra Strong Bin Walls

It is essential to a commercial grain storage operation to have the strongest bins possible and that is why each bin has been designed with a hill and valley bolting system that allows for exceptional hoop strength. And all of Twister’s wall sheets are manufactured from 50,000psi minimum yield strength steel guaranteeing the strongest commercial bins available.

In order to further maximize the strength of the commercial hopper, Twister has specially designed unique heavy ‘W’ stiffeners to add additional support. They stiffeners have been designed with a corrugation in order to create a snug fit with the grain bin which means that there is no chance of product hang-up within the bin. It is your choice whether you would like the stiffeners placed on the exterior or the interior of the bin.

• Grade 8 bolts that are coated for exceptional corrosion resistance coupled with weather resistant washers to create an excellent seal.
• The grain tanks utilize a 30 degree pitch.
